A new Town Trail leaflet
The Town Trail leaflet has been rewritten for the first time since 2009. The route is much the same, from the museum round the Market Square, up Church Walk to St Laurence’s and down to the bridge, but the map is new and each stop now has a step-free alternative where the main route uses steps.
The leaflet costs 50p from the museum desk and the visitor information point. The trail is also on this website, with the map, at Town Trail.
Thank you to the walks group, who walked the route with a measuring wheel, a wheelchair user and a pushchair, and argued about the wording of stop 6 for most of the summer.
